Also called Venus Rising from the Sea, Stevenson was lead on a bronze recast and repair of this 1890s fountain for the City of Port Townsend where she is affectionately called Galatea. The fountain was first installed in Port Townsend, WA in 1906 and made of pot metal which became brittle with time. Stevenson was commissioned again to recast Venus to bronze for the Kimberly Crest Historic House and Gardens in Redlands, CA and again for the Hotel Del Coronado in Coronado, CA.
